This Tropical Paradise Just Dethroned Paris as the World’s Most Romantic Destination!

If you’re daydreaming about a romantic getaway with your partner, Paris might be the first place that comes to mind. But while the City of Love has its undeniable charms, a recent US survey has revealed that another destination might top the list for romance!

According to a recent poll by FunJet Vacations and Talker Research, Maui has taken the crown as the world’s most romantic destination.

That’s right — Maui edged out Paris by a single percent, with 34 percent of respondents declaring the Hawaiian island their ultimate romantic spot. Paris, however, still captured 33 percent of hearts.

Why Maui? Well, picture yourself strolling along a pristine beach, palm trees swaying above, with a backdrop of turquoise waves and epic sunsets. It’s easy to see how Maui could steal the show. Plus, there’s delicious food, lush landscapes, and an array of amazing experiences on offer, from secluded horseback riding to whale watching. But let’s not forget the survey was conducted among Americans, who don’t need a passport to jet off to Maui. Perhaps this helped boost the Hawaiian island’s popularity. For Brits, Paris might well still hold the top spot as the perfect romantic escape, and other European destinations like Venice and Rome, which ranked third and fourth respectively, could be the dream spots closer to home.
