Spain’s Ordesa y Monte Perdido Takes the Top Spot

First place goes to Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, a spectacular expanse of the Spanish Pyrenees renowned for its sheer limestone cliffs, glacier-carved valleys and crashing waterfalls. Stretching across 156 square kilometres near the French border, it’s a haven for hikers and climbers, offering everything from gentle forest trails to the challenging ascent of Monte Perdido — the third-highest peak in the range.

Eryri (Snowdonia) Secures Third

Landing in third place is Wales’ Eryri National Park (commonly known as Snowdonia), a wild and mountainous region that spans over 800 square miles.

Home to the iconic Mount Snowdon, it’s a magnet for walkers, scramblers and outdoor lovers of all levels — with a mix of rugged peaks, glacial lakes, ancient woodlands and wide open skies.

New Forest, England

The New Forest Also Makes the Cut

Southern England’s New Forest National Park also claimed a spot in the top 10. Though less rugged than Eryri, its lowland heath, ancient oaks and famously free-roaming ponies have earned it a place in the hearts of many. It’s one of the UK’s most accessible national parks — and one of its most enchanting.

Rounding out the top three is Slovenia’s Triglav National Park, a jewel of the Julian Alps known for its pristine mountain landscapes, turquoise rivers and traditional alpine villages.
