Say Goodbye to Sleepless Night Buses — This Luxury Service Connects Eight European Cities
Think of night buses, and you probably picture cramped seats, bouncing luggage, and a restless journey. Swiss company Twiliner is here to completely change that image. Launching this November, their new line of luxury overnight buses promises a plush, restful alternative for Europe-bound travellers.

Twiliner will debut two routes: Zurich–Basel–Luxembourg–Brussels–Rotterdam–Amsterdam and Zurich–Girona–Barcelona, connecting eight major cities in total. Each bus carries just 21 passengers — 18 upstairs, 3 downstairs — in seats that fully recline into proper beds. Other onboard perks include toilets, Wi-Fi, electric outlets, and even a private space to freshen up before arrival.
“We’re offering a unique product,” said CEO Luca Bortolani. “The number of passengers is limited, but we need two drivers per route. They could also choose the train, but night trains are often overbooked and pricey.”

Twiliner will operate a few times a week initially, with plans to increase frequency based on demand — and Bortolani hopes daily departures could be on the cards next year.
There is one catch: a single ticket from Zurich to Brussels will cost around €180. Not cheap, but for travellers looking to skip the hassle of planes or cramped night trains, this might be the ultimate way to travel comfortably.
Bookings are now open via Twiliner’s official website.
