Looking for a travel spot that’s welcoming, vibrant, and full of LGBTQ+ energy? Expedia just dropped its 2025 Summer Travel Outlook, spotlighting the top destinations for LGBTQ+ travellers — and it’s a mix of iconic favourites and rising gems, think beach escapes, buzzing cities, and a whole lot of Pride.

The travel company surveyed 1,000 LGBTQ+ Americans to find out where people are heading this summer, whether for beach time, nightlife, culture or community. And while the report focused on U.S. travellers, for those of us in the UK, there are plenty of amazing spots right on our doorstep.

LGBTQ+ travellers aren’t just chasing views — they’re seeking experiences.

41% prioritise dining out at great restaurants and bars
36% love a good shopping spree
31% make time for LGBTQ+ nightlife

And Pride? Still a massive draw — with 76% of LGBTQ+ travellers planning to hit the road for a Pride event this year.

As Expedia’s Melanie Fish put it, “This summer, LGBTQ+ vacationers are blending the comfort of familiar favourites with the thrill of discovering new destinations.” She recommends using Expedia’s “LGBTQ+ welcoming” filter when booking to ensure an inclusive stay.

While the report is based on American travellers, UK jet-setters have no shortage of incredible — and closer-to-home — destinations to explore across Europe as well as right here in the UK!
