French Colonial Influence In An Open Volcanic Island


Although it is situated in the Indian Ocean, just east of Madagascar, some 5000 miles from Europe, the island of Réunion is a French overseas department, and is therefore, technically a part of France. Despite its relatively diminutive size, Réunion boasts a diverse wealth of striking landscapes, from soaring volcanoes to dense tropical rainforests, breathtaking waterfalls to charming, colonial towns, and picturesque beaches fringed by coral filled waters.

It truly has it all, and is a paradise for outdoor and adventure enthusiasts with hiking, diving, rafting, canyoning, and whale watching just some of the many activities on offer, whilst the delicious cuisine reflects the island’s rich cultural composition, and is best enjoyed with a glass of rum from one of the island’s famous distilleries.

There are no direct flights from the UK to Réunion. However, Air France operates regular direct flights from Paris throughout the year.

The dry season between May and October is the best period to visit.

We recommend a minimum of 6 days.

UK citizens do not require a visa to enter Réunion and may remain there for 90 days.

Excellent service from start to finish.
