Yee Peng, also known as Yi Peng, is a unique festival held in northern Thailand. Initially observed as an independent occasion marking the conclusion of the monsoon season and the onset of cooler weather, Yee Peng is now celebrated during the annual Loy Krathong festival, across northern Thai towns and cities but it's Chiang Mai that stands out as the paramount place to experience this enchanting event.
