The largest pride event in Oceania, Sydney Mardi Gras is an annual three-week-long LGBT parade and festival held throughout Australia’s largest city. Comprising a series of events, talks, exhibitions, concerts, fairs and parties, along with the trademark parade which features over 12,000 entrants, the event attracts hundreds of thousands of spectators from across the country and abroad, and is one of the biggest and best events of its kind on earth!

The festival normally begins on the second Thursday in February and culminates in the parade on the first Saturday in March.
If you’re traveling from the UK, Qantas and British Airways operate daily direct flights from London Heathrow to Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport.
Although the festival takes place during the Australian summer, unlike large parts of the country which are often extremely hot during this period, Sydney is generally warm and sunny with daily highs of around 26°.
